The Stertil dock leveller model MK is a mechanically operated dock leveller with a hinged lip construction. The MK series are suitable for suspension on special curb angles at the front, with the rear to be supported from beneath. Standard capacity of the MK dock leveller is 60kN.
The MK dock leveller is easily operated by pulling the chain in the platform. The platform will move to its highest position. By the weight of a person the platform can be lowered to truck level while the lip swings out. The lip is controlled by a gas spring that ensures that the lip movement is uniform.

  • The Stertil dock leveller type MK meets all safety requirements of European directive EN 1398.
  • Power is supplied by a spring housed in a cylinder (Powerpack) with a life time guarantee.
  • The platform and lip are made of tread plate and beams of steel quality S 355 JO (steel 52). The thickness of the deck is 6/8mm, the lip plate is 12/14mm thick (of the standard 350mm long lip).
  • The frame is a fully welded, self-supporting structure, suitable for suspension on special curb angles at the front. The rear needs to be supported from beneath.
  • The platform can twist 100mm in either direction to accommodate unevenly loaded trucks without dangerous gaps forming at the rear hinge.
  • The patented safety supports provide maximum support on the platform for cross traffic.
  • The open lip hinge retains no dirt, so effective operation is ensured and no lubrication is necessary. The weld connecting the hinge to the platform and lip is so strong that Stertil guarantees this component for life.
  • The burglary protection system prevents the leveller from being lowered from the outside where access can be gained under the door.
  • The leveller can be parked without the need for the truck to drive away. This feature is important when closing the dock door while the truck is still docked.
  • Toe guards provide protection for the full working height. Platform level differences are clearly recognizable by the yellow and black markings.
  • The maintenance support can be positioned easily keeping the platform and lip in its highest position.
  • The standard finish protection consists of steel blasting, a primer coating and finishing in ocean blue, RAL 5020. Total layer thickness is 80 microns.
