Detailed information about the product Hydraulic, hinged lip dock leveller

The Stertil dock leveller model HSP is a hydraulic dock leveller with a hinged lip construction. The HSP dock leveller is designed to be used in both closed as open pits. Standard capacity of the HSP dock leveller is 40 kN. The HSP dock leveller can be easily operated by a 'single-button' control-box. As a standard option door operation buttons can be mounted on the face of the control panel. A lockable main isolator switch on the control box also serves as an emergency switch.
  • Capacity 40kN.
  • The Stertil dock leveller type HSP meets all safety requirements of European directive EN 1398.
  • The 0.75kW, 380 / 415 volt, 3 phase motor is built into the single housing along with the hydraulic pump and reservoir and has a built-in emergency stop valve which is operated from the control box.
  • Control box - safety class IP 55 with a lockable main switch (also emergency switch) and one push button for moving platform and lip.
  • Pre-connected 8m cables for connecting the control box and pump unit are supplied with the unit.
  • The platform and lip are made of tear plate, Lloyds Grade A steel quality. The thickness of the deck is 5/7m, the lip plate 13/15mm (of the standard 350mm long lip).
  • The platform is built as an orthotropic structure.
  • The frame is a fully welded, self supporting structure suitable for use as a standing leveller as well as a suspended leveller.
  • The platform can twist 100mm in either direction to accommodate unevenly loaded trucks without dangerous gaps forming at the rear hinge.
  • Stertil's own design cross traffic legs increase the security of your building and also offer more reliable support system than sitting the lip on external saddles.
  • The open lip hinge retains no dirt, so effective operation is ensured and no lubrication is necessary. The weld connecting the hinge to the platform and lip is so strong that Stertil guarantees this component for life.
  • The anti break in protection prevents the leveller from being lowered from the outside where access can be gained under the door.
  • The leveller can be brought in its rest position without the need for the truck to drive away. This feature is important when closing the dock door whil the truck is still docked.
  • Toe protecting plates provide protection for the full working height. Platform level differences are clearly recognizable by the yellow and black markings.
  • The maintenance support can be positioned easily keeping the platform and lip in its highest position.
  • The panic stop is activated in case of hose rupture or unexpected departure of the truck, when goods or people may still be on the leveller.
  • The emergency stop is activated when the red switch on the control box is turned. All movements of platform and lip stop immediately, even under full load.
  • The standard protection consists of steel blasting, a primer coating and finishing in ocean blue, RAL 5020. Total layer thickness is 80 micrometres.
