Press release

Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS Company LLC), operator of the world's first RFID-tagged all-plastic pallet pool, announced today that due to high demand for the iGPS pallet, it has signed a new long-term preferred supplier agreement with Netherlands-based Schoeller Arca Systems, the global leader in plastic packaging systems for materials handling, to manufacture 30 million pallets for the company over the next five years.

"As the world's leading manufacturer of plastic returnable pallets for materials handling, Schoeller Arca Systems has been an ideal strategic partner to manufacture our state-of-the-art pallets," said Bob Moore, chief executive officer of iGPS.  "Because the marketplace has responded so enthusiastically to our offering, we have commissioned Schoeller Arca to produce a record number of pallets so that we can continue to provide quality service to new and existing customers. This is truly a watershed moment for our company as it validates the demand the supply chain has for our service."

The pallets will be manufactured in a new high-tech and fully automated manufacturing plant located in Springfield, MO with more new plants to be opened in the coming years. The new contract will make iGPS one of the largest pooler of pallets (wood or plastic) within the next five years and will enable iGPS to respond to demand from all industries-including beverages, grocery/consumer packaged goods, produce/meat and raw ingredients. The advantages of iGPS' plastic pallets include their greater durability, safety, light weight, consistent size, shape and quality, superior hygiene and traceability. The iGPS pallet also meets or exceeds all Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) requirements and is FM Global 4996 and UL 2335 certified fire retardant.

"iGPS has revolutionized the supply chain with a unique pallet and pooling system," said Ludo Gielen, Director of Sales and Marketing  of Schoeller Arca Systems. "iGPS offers the best manufactured plastic pallet in the world and we are proud to be a partner in their success."

The iGPS pallet is 30% lighter than the traditional wooden pallet and is 100% recyclable.  A recent life-cycle analysis conducted by Environmental Resource Management (ERM) has confirmed that the iGPS pallet is environmentally superior to its wood counterpart in all aspects. By making the switch to the iGPS pallet, companies significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and consumption of diesel fuel as well as reduce the harmful effects of deforestation, a major contributor to global warming.

Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
