Automatic strapping machine

The automatic strapping machine is designed for circumferential and radial coil strapping.

The coil is placed on a cart and the strapping machine straps it without moving it.

Firstly, the strapping machine has to be programmed to strap with steel or polyester. Afterwards, the number of circumferential straps and the distance between them will be programmed from the terminal, just like the quantity of radial straps and the degrees of rotation of the spindle head to make the radial straps.

Once the strapping machine has been programmed, the spindle head moves towards the coil to strap it with the programmed circumferential straps. Next, the strapping machine finds itself across from the coil, at 90º of the starting position, and starts to make the first radial strap on the upper part of the coil. Next the same spindle head rotates 120º in one direction to make the second radial strap, and last the spindle head turns 240º in the opposite direction to make the third radial strap.

After the corresponding straps have been made, the strapping machine places itself in the starting position.

This strapping machine has been designed to strap with steel and polyester strap, having two strap dispensers and two strap collectors. Changing the selecting switch from the terminal, and modifying several hydraulic pressures, it can strap without distinction with steel or polyester strap.

The estimated time for each strap is 16 seconds.

The strapping is done directly on the same strap, that is to say, it turns around the coil, and, in the second turn it staples the same strap. These strapping machines have a piston unit known as the strap pulling unit. Because of this, it's possible to strap the package with the pressure the client wants.

The spindle heads used by the strapping machines for 32mm steel and polyester straps are standard. They can therefore be linked to any 32mm Saizar strapping machine.

This machine adapts to the client's needs regarding coil size, available space, coil weight, etc.
