Extec 2G™ provides explosion protection for all types of electric equipment. The system does not detect a gas but works by enclosing all ignition sources.

A solution for all types of electric equipment Extec 2G is fully certified for use in Zone 1 areas.

All conversions take place at Pyroban factories or Pyroban licensed installers. Features include:
  • Extec 2G Systems cover IIA or IIB, T3 or T4(option)
  • Certification Certified as Category 2G equipment for use in Zone 1 areas (can also be used in Zone 2)
  • Motors installed into explosion proof enclosures to EN50018
  • Temperature monitoring of hot surfaces to T3 200°C or T4 135°C (including brakes and hydraulic fluid if necessary).
  • Frame leakage monitoring: Highlights electrical failure before risk of ignition source
  • Components enclosed: All arcing and sparking components are placed within an EEx'd' explosion proof enclosure.
  • Battery: It is designed and tested to EN50019 EEx'e' and fitted with Eex'd' plugs and sockets.
  • Battery isolator removes all power from the protected vehicle.
  • Forks clad in stainless steel
