The Euromech system does not detect a gas but works by enclosing all ignition sources.

With full certification, Euromech 2G™ is for Zone 1 areas and Euromech 3G™ for zone 2 areas. The protection principles are similar with a few differences in the extent of the modification.

Euromech protection controls engine surface temperature, prevents flame or spark omission from the exhaust system and ensures the prevention or air inlet flashback and engine overspeed.

A solution for diesel equipment in Zone 1 & 2 All conversions take place at Pyroban factories or Pyroban licenced installers. Features include:
  • Euromech 2G and 3G Systems cover IIA or IIB, T3 or T4(option)
  • Certification Euromech 2G is certified as Category 2G for use in Zone 1 areas (can also be used in Zone 2). Euromech 3G is certified as Category 3G for use in Zone 2 areas
  • SVD inlet shutdown valve for automatic and manual shutdown
  • Water cooled exhaust gas cooler limits surface and exhaust temperatures to the specified temperature class.
  • Flameproof main enclosure incorporates an integral battery isolator.
  • Flame arrestors suitable for group IIA and IIB gasses
  • On-board electric starting allows for options such as lighting and sounders.
