Portec Flomaster - Information about specialty conveying products - Belt Power Curve, Spiral, Merge, Industrial Conveyors…

Detailed information about Portec

Portec Flomaster invented the Belt Power Curve conveyor in 1957 to overcome the issues being experienced in the handling of airport baggage that required a change of direction in the conveyor lines. Today, the Portec Flomaster Power Curve is internationally recognized as an important segment in material handling.

To date, more than 70,000 power curves have been shipped around the world, with the majority of units still in service. The rugged design, featuring a positive drive conveyor belt has set the standard in the industry for reliability, with a minimum of maintenance.

Portec is ISO 9001:2000 certified and carries the quality doctrines throughout our entire process. The Portec design meets the CE criteria for application in Europe and other locations that require the CE mark.

The principle products offered by Portec include the Belt Power Curve Conveyor, the Spiral Belt Conveyor, the Spiral Lift Belt Conveyor, a family of Merge Conveyors, Powered Face Diverters, Fiberglass Gravity Chutes and other specialty solutions to material handling issues.

Portec has over 60 years experience in the materials handling industry. Flomaster Positive Drive / Loose Belt Technology is unique and offers users, among other advantages, high speeds, quiet operation, greater reliability (regardless of environment), reduced maintenance and a wide flexibility of belting materials. Portec conveyors provide lifetime costs and operating advantages over other conveyors. Our technology incorporates features that bring down the Total Cost of Ownership. The Portec conveyor requires less maintenance, less downtime and lower repair costs because it is a well-made, simple solution. Simple solutions are often the most reliable and easiest to maintain.

Portec's custom material handling equipment has been incorporated into airport baggage handling systems, mail and parcel handling, manufacturing, retail distribution, food processing facilities, cement plants, etc. around the world. Portec has produced equipment to handle wide ranges of products from light electronics to refrigerators. Portec often designs custom heavy duty equipment to handle difficult or unusual applications.
