Firstly, the K-System terminal modules allow for an individual assembly on the standard 35mm rail and secondly, they make it possible to combine groups of 8, 12 or 16 modules on motherboards.
The K-System guarantees that signals are transmitted safely and economically between the field devices and the control. The devices are approved according to the latest ATEX guidelines and the majority of these standard units also guarantee functional safety according to IEC 61508 without additional costs.
Depending on the hardware structures and the inspection intervals, applications can be accessed with SIL1, SIL2 and SIL3.
