Detailed information about the product Popup Roller Sorter

It was developed in house by Axiom, as part of a project for high speed sortation of media, specifically DVD's and VHS.

The sorter consists of a drive module, an idle module, a main sortation body and popup roller carriages.

Sorter carriages can be inserted into the main sorter body at a pitch to suit the clients requirements.

Carriage length is subject to product size. Product can be diverted to the left, or right hand side of the main sorter body.

The sorter can be supplied with various types of collection modules, typically:
  • Gravity roller conveyor
  • Collection bin, Axiom manufacture the VariBin, which expands as product enters the bin, then collapses when product is removed
  • Simple chute
  • Mail Sacks
  • Totes, or collection cartons
There is no limitation on the number of sorter carriages that can be supplied in the main sorter body.

The sorter is capable of handling products at a sort speed of up to 200 items per minute.

The system is manufactured from machined components and aluminium profile sections, allowing speedy maintenance to be carried out and replacement parts to be fitted with limited engineering ability.
